North Texas QiGong

Healing Through Energy

Welcome to North Texas QiGong

My name is Martha Fiddes, and my passion is helping people to improve their health and well-being through the practice of QiGong.

There are so many problems in our world that traditional western medicine cannot help.  In addition, the pace of our lives and our world leaves us tired and ill, without understanding why.  The power of QiGong is in learning to focus inward rather than outward, thus improving health, concentration, mental acuity, and immunity through the practice of breathing, meditation, focused intention, and simple exercise.  QiGong can be learned and experienced, no matter what the physical condition of the body, and amazing miracles can happen.  QiGong practice can benefit by making those who are healthy function even better.  The practice can also be performed by those who are very ill, to bring the body back to health.

QiGong Classes

In my practice I teach students basic exercises so they may gain control over their specific problems.  Because of my education in the medical profession, I am uniquely able to provide a fusion of Qigong with traditional Western medicine practice.

Treatment & Therapy

In addition to teaching classes, I also provide medical qigong treatment for both people and animals.  Over the past two years I am seeing many clients with symptoms from long- COVID.  Qigong treatment can be effective for pain, impaired immune function and a variety of debilitating illnesses to supplement traditional medical treatments

Continuing Education

I am particularly interested in helping those in the healing professions to develop practices to keep themselves strong so they may be of benefit to others. In addition to compassion fatigue training, I can also provide continuing education opportunities bringing QiGong to nurses, social workers, and therapists.

About Martha Fiddes

I have been a Physical Therapist for 40 years, and was one of the first Physical Therapists to achieve special certification through the American Physical Therapy Association as a Certified Clinical Specialist in Geriatrics in 1996.  Over the past 20 years I completed certifications and taught yoga, pilates, and Tai Chi, but always felt there was more to learn.  I found that "something special" with my teacher, GrandMaster Sifu Armstrong in Atlanta, Georgia.  From Sifu I learned that energy is information.  The more energy you acquire, the more you know and understand about the self, life, and what the body needs to heal itself. The universe is comprised of innumerable levels of matter enclosed in one holistic entity.  The body is the same, with the center being the organs and circulation of qi (energy) and blood throughout the system.
I am also a Professional Member of the National QiGong Association and the National QiGong Institute, a certified QiGong Master practitioner, and also received Certification in Tai Chi for Arthritis through Dr. Paul Lam.
